Flinders Ranges | Judy Lane
18 May - 05 June 2023

"Painting in the Flinders Ranges is both a joy and a huge challenge. For me it is a place of great beauty. The colour, the light and the fascinating geological formations. Working with clay seemed a necessary part of my expression."

Born in 1942, Judy Lane studied at the Julian Ashton Art School where she was awarded a high distinction. She went on to travel, paint and teach for the next 30 years. Much of her earlier work was done in France, where she continued to paint and teach.

A highly-esteemed artist, she has had well over 40 exhibitions of paintings and more recently, ceramics. Her work is represented in many overseas and local private collections. Judy has also been featured in numerous art awards including The Portia Geach, Doug Moran, Mosman Art Prize and The Wynne Prize.
