Landscapes Near and Far | Group Exhibition
16 August - 06 September 2023
It is our absolute privilege to host the works of five highly-esteemed artists in our upcoming exhibition, Landscapes Near and Far.
Collectively, the works of Greg Hansell, Ann Cape, Johanna Hildebrandt, Judy Lane and Chris Gentle capture the renowned beauty of the Australian landscape: its earthy palette, expansive skies, beautifully rugged mountain ranges, robust flora and the gentle hum of wildlife by the creek.
The artists have been widely celebrated in an extensive number of exhibitions, both in Australia and overseas.
Greg Hansell is a highly esteemed Australian artist and the Art School Director of the Royal Art Society of NSW. He has been a finalist over 20 times in the Archibald and Wynne prizes, and Salon de Refuse. He also won the Mosman Art Prize in 1984 and 1990. Hansell was awarded a Centenary of Federation medal in 2001 for services to community arts and Windsor Library.
Through the use of earth and Schmincke pastels, Hansell’s artworks capture the unmistakenly raw beauty of the Australian landscape.
