Poetry of Ink | Group Exhibition
Eastern paintings emphasise freehand brushwork to reflect the fluidity of movement in life. The painter guides each stroke with precision and emotion so that ink of varying intensities flow upon the rice paper. Each line creates an artistic conception in time and develops an artwork rich in imagination and imagery.
Oriental paintings delicately depict a vast range of subject matter. Natural landscapes, floral displays and citizenry are common focal points. Therefore, ink paintings are poetic in that they capture moments of time and the rhythms of life.
Over Christmas and the New Year, our gallery is exhibiting a curated collection of distinguished ink paintings, created in the 1990s by esteemed artists. We invite you to join us for this rare opportunity to engage with these exceptional artworks.
